An intimate, observational collage of the human condition. Filmed head-on in a mirror, Menno Otten creates black and white portraits of a number of people of varying ages and backgrounds, all during a visit to the hairdresser’s. They look at themselves: searching, uncertain, anticipating. A documentary in which small gestures and individual reflections reveal the person in front of the mirror.
